Outerlight is a video game developer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was founded in 2002.
Outerlight's first major project was The Ship, a multiplayer FPS set aboard a 1920's cruise ship. The game was released on Steam in July 2006 for the PC. The Ship met with a favourable critical reception scoring an average of 76% according to Metacritic.
Their precursor to The Ship was a 2004 Half-Life mod which approximated the gameplay of the final retail version.
The company is currently working on a sequel to The Ship, as well as some unannounced titles.
